Christoph Urbschat

Managing Partner & Head of Market Intelligence Department (eclareon Berlin)

Master of Economics (Hanover University, 1998)

Shortly after finishing his studies in Hanover and Düsseldorf, Christoph Urbschat worked as an independent consultant and developed and co-ordinated a professional marketing network for solar energy in Hanover. From 1999 to 2000, as marketing manager at an environmental consultancy, he was in charge of the development of dissemination campaigns on behalf of the EU Commission and the implementation of marketing training workshops for solar installers and trade associations. In 2001 he started eclareon - and moved to Berlin. Next to managing the eclareon practices at Berlin office, Christoph is chairing the Working Group Export Photovoltaic of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW Solar) since 2008 and he is mandated as Consultant by order of Renewable Energy Export Initiative and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative since 2007, both hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Robert Brückmann

Head of Policy Consulting Department

Robert Brückmann holds a University diploma (University of Freiburg, Germany) and a bar examination (Hamburg University, Germany) in legal sciences & master of law – with honours – in European laws from the University of Helsinki, Finland. During his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg 2005-2008, he specialized and intensively worked on energy law and renewable energy law. Among others he gained experience at the Conergy AG, at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany, which is the authority for the application of offshore wind farms, and at the law firm Sozietät Becker, Büttner, Held in Berlin where exclusively worked with renewable energy law.

Robert Brückmann has been working with eclareon in the area of policy consulting since February 2008 at the beginning as project manager, since February 2011 as head of policy department. In the last six years, he specialised in the analysis of legal framework for the use of RES at national and European level by planning and implementing the projects RES LEGAL, PV LEGAL, RES Integration and AEON Tren Barriers. Moreover, he established and coordinated the eclareon’s research team.

Dirk Kalusa

Head of Business Promotion Department

Dirk Kalusa is a qualified social scientists. He finished his studies with a focus on International Relations at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2006. Following the studies, he worked at the German-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. There he was responsible for market analysis and organized various business of German companies. Since November 2008 he works for eclareon, first as deputy project manager for the on-trade business energy efficiency. Since November 2010 he took over the management of the Business Promotion Unit. He speaks German as mother language, fluent English and has a good knowledge of the Slovenian language.

Jan-Benjamin Spitzley

Senior Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Jan-Benjamin Spitzley holds a University diploma in legal science and a master of international law (MIL) degree – honours degree. He studied at the University of Freiburg, at the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International Studies Geneva, as well as at the University of Münster. The Master of Law degree was awarded by the University of Sydney, Australia. In the framework of his legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Berlin (Kammergericht Berlin) he worked inter alia at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Parliament and at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York. Since November 2008, he is working for the eclareon GmbH as Project Manager. He is significantly involved in the implementation of the projects RES LEGAL, AEON, dena Subsidy overviews on PV and Renewable heat, PV Legal and RES Integration. Jan-Benjamin Spitzley is business fluent in English as well as in French and speaks Dutch.

Edoardo Binda-Zane

Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Edoardo Binda Zane is an experienced professional in the fields of renewable energy, energy policy and grid connection. Prior to working as a project manager for eclareon he spent two years as a consultant in a dutch firm and one year as a researcher in an energy research centre in Milan. He holds a Higher Formation Course in Energy Finance and Commodity Trading (Politecnico di Milano School of Management) as well as a Bachelor and a Major in Economics and Management (Università Bocconi, Milan). Edoardo's thesis, centred on energy scenarios for Italy to 2020, was awarded the G.S.E. Prize (Premio G.S.E.), by the Italian Quality Committee, the Italian Electricity Services Operator and the Presidency of the Republic. He is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish and speaks German and Dutch.

Anna Poblocka

Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Anna Poblocka studied Scandinavian Studies, Political Science and Eastern European Studies at both Humboldt and Free University in Berlin. The focus of the studies was the Baltic Sea Region. Her Master thesis addressed the topic of deployment of electricity production from Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Policy in the Baltic Sea Region. Since December 2008, she is working for the eclareon GmbH. She is extensively involved in the execution of the projects RES LEGAL, AEON, dena Subsidy overviews on PV, PV Legal and RES Integration. Anna Poblocka speaks Polish as mother language, is business fluent in German and English and has a good knowledge of the Scandinavian languages.

Christian Grundner

Project Manager Market Intelligence Department

Christian holds a combined degree in business administration and industrial engineering and graduated in 2009 with focus on production management and logistics from University of Rostock. In addition, he holds a post-graduate Diploma in Global Business Management awarded by the University of California, Berkeley. During his studies, he was project manager and member of the board of the student consultancy at the business school of University of Rostock. He also gained first experience in the wind energy sector as a student associate to the board of a major wind turbine manufacturer. Furthermore, he worked as executive assistant to the board of a fast growing online company and gained hands-on management and business development experience. He was also significantly involved in the investor relations and reporting as well business strategy. Since September 2010, Christian is working for the eclareon GmbH as Project Manager. He is mainly responsible for the market intelligence services and online databases offered by eclareon. Christian Grundner speaks German as mother language, and is business fluent in English.

Antje Kramer

Project Manager Business Promotion Department

Antje has a Master of Arts in Sociocultural Anthropology, American History and Legal Studies, specializing in European law. She completed her studies in early 2007 at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. During her studies she gained extensive experience working in industry and science. After graduating, she worked for an American law firm as a legal project manager (Paralegal), where she was part of the team responsible for the settlement of international M&A transactions and restructurings. She then changed to a renewable energy services company in Munich, where she was responsible for operations and marketing/sales. Since September 2010 she has been with eclareon as a project manager. Antje grew up bilingual and speaks fluent German and English and also has sound knowledge of French.

Christian Siebel

Project Manager Business Promotion Department    

Christian is a certified service agent with a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences. He graduated from focusing on peace and conflict research in the local climate at the Philipps University in Marburg.During his studies he was appointed as an employee of the market research agency SEICKEL at Frankfurt am Main with the design and organization and to the implementation and monitoring of phone acquisition. Since August 2009, Christian works for eclareon, first as an analyst, then as project manager. He speaks German as mother language, fluent English and has a good knowledge of Russian.

Doreen Neumann

Marketing Manager

Doreen is diploma management expert and event management economist in international industrial enterprises with the main emphasis of the acquirement and putting into action of marketing concepts and the CI introductions. Doreen worked for AOC International (Europe) GmbH more than eight years to professional stations with the software service company BAAN (UK & USA). She looked after 23 countries with marketing concepts aligned with the markets here.–Doreen is diploma management expert and even putting into action as well as journey delegations just like the development of marketing concepts including budget, media and concept planning for 23 countries of the development and putting into action of a new one, international companies CI and the development and putting into action of fair and event planning, incl. delegation journeys to China, for her tasks. She speaks German and negotiation-proof English as a mother tongue.

Natascha Trennepohl

Consultant

Natascha Trennepohl is a Brazilian lawyer and environmental consultant, pursuing a Ph.D. study at the Humboldt University (HU) in Berlin. She holds a Master of Law and a Bachelor of Law degrees. Before starting with eclareon GmbH she gained experience in climate policy at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment (International Climate Protection Division) with focus on the analysis of climate policies from Parties to the UNFCCC/KP and new market-based mechanisms. She is a founding member of Brazil’s Voluntary Carbon Market Study Committee (ABNT) and teaches Brazilian Environmental Law within a program on Brazilian law at the Humboldt University. She is author of books and articles, being also board member of environmental journals. She speaks Portuguese, English, German and has a good knowledge of Spanish.

Filip Jirouš 

Consultant

Filip Jirouš studied Eastern European Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. During his studies, he worked as a freelancer for the German Parliament’s visitors’ service and the Prague based business consulting company Czech Trade Office. Since November 2010, Mr. Jirouš is working at eclareon as a research assistant in the policy consulting department. Inter alia, he is analysing the legal framework conditions as well as questions concerning grid connection, operation and development for RES. He was actively involved in the RES integration and RES Legal projects. Mr. Jirouš is a native speaker of both German and Czech; he is fluent in English, Polish, French and Bulgarian and has basic knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish.

Céline Najdawi

Consultant

Céline Najdawi graduated with her Bachelor´s degree in 2007 in German and English Literature and Civilization from the Catholic University in Paris followed by Master´s degree in French and German Trade and Management at the University of Cergy-Pontoise. Since October 2009 she is studying Public and Private Environmental Management at the Freie University Berlin. Céline Najdawi has been working at eclareon since September 2010, where she is mainly responsible for the analysis of legal framework conditions as well as questions of grid connection and integration for RES-E in the French-speaking countries. She is actively involved in the projects RES Integration, RES Legal as well as in PV Subsidy Overview Europe on behalf of the German Energy Agency. Aside from her mother-tongue French, Céline Najdawi speaks fluently English and German and has strong skills in Arabic.

Robert Schachtschneider

Consultant

Robert Schachtschneider studied European Studies (BA) at Maastricht University followed by a Master's degree in Public Policy from Hertie School of Governance Berlin with the focus on energy and social policy as well as transformation countries. During his studies, he spent one semester at Sciences Po Paris and obtained working experience as a young professional in the GIZ project on energy efficiency in buildings in Kiev, Ukraine (12 months). Since November 2011 Robert Schachtschneider is working at eclareon being responsible for the analysis of legal framework conditions as well as questions of grid connection and integration for renewable energy. In the framework of different projects (e.g. RES LEGAL Europe, PV Legal, Keep-on-Track, European Semester) he is in charge of the portfolio the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Moreover, he is responsible for the analysis of the development of the renewable energy sector in Ukraine. Aside from German, Robert Schachtschneider is fluent in English, Dutch as well as French and has strong skills in Russian.

Ingrid Bozsoki

Consultant

Ingrid Bozsoki holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration (University of Konstanz). She is currently completing her master's degree in Public and Private Environmental Management at the Freie University Berlin. The focus of the studies was on renewable energy, international biodiversity and climate change policy, and corporate biodiversity management. Ingrid Bozsoki has been working at eclareon since 2010 and is mainly responsible for the research on Romania and Hungary in the areas of legal frameworks for renewable energy, grid connection and grid integration, and climate change policy. She is actively involved in the projects RES integration, RES legal, PV Subsidy Overview Europe on behalf of the German Energy Agency and the National Assessment of climate change policies in the context of the European semester. In addition, she is currently working on the content design of the "European Conference on Biodiversity and Climate Change" by the German Federal Agency for Nature Conservation. Ingrid Bozsoki is native speaker of German and fluent in English, Romanian and Hungarian.

Lisa Conrads

Consultant

Lisa Conrads holds a joint diploma degree in Business and Economics from the University of Applied Sciences Aachen (Dipl. Kauffrau) and Edinburgh Napier University (B.A. Hons). Currently she is completing her Master’s thesis about biomass power investment barriers and policy options in Indonesia within the study programme Integrated Natural Resource Management at Humboldt University Berlin. Lisa Conrads has a strong focus on renewable energy policy and the influence on the business case of decentralized energy technologies. Within her studies and the work at the Institute for Ecological Economy Research she has gained extensive experience in empirical research methods. Working for the Market Intelligence Unit since March 2012, she has been actively involved within the CrossBorder Bioenergy Project, the Industry Databases and the department’s Marketing activities. Besides her mother tongue German, she is fluent in English, has advanced knowledge of French and basic knowledge of Dutch and Spanish.

Franziska Sophie Kohler

Consultant

Franziska Kohler holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Integrated Natural Resource Management at Humboldt University in Berlin. Franziska has gained working experience in the field of rural electrification and micro energy systems as a Junior Consultant at Micro Energy International. During the field stay of her Master’s thesis on the assessment of governance models of PV systems in Andhra Pradesh, India, she had the opportunity to add to her experience.  She has also worked with several NGOs and interned at the German Institute for Economic Research as a research assistant in the department for Development and Security. Franziska started working at eclareon in July 2012 in the Market Intelligence Unit where she has been actively involved in the Crossborder Bioenergy Project. Franziska is a native speaker of German, speaks English fluently and also has knowledge of Danish and French.

Jelka Schedlinsky

Project Assistance

With a professional background in the media industry, Jelka Schedlinsky holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business Administration from the European University Viadrina. Specializing in international marketing during her studies in Germany and Denmark, she simultaneously gained experience in government & public affairs in the field of energy & climate policy within the chemical industry. She gathered additional professional experience in a position with an international manufacturer of PV modules. Working as a research assistant with that company, Jelka was involved in the monitoring of PV legislation processes and projects in Germany and international markets. A project assistant with eclareon since 2012, Jelka is a fluent speaker of English, French and German.

Lena Merle Keller

Project Assistance

After graduating from high school, Lena Keller studied at Georg-August University of Göttingen and at Universidade do Porto in Portugal. Currently Keller pursues a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies with emphasis on politics and economics at Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin). Keller's focus are development theories and policy, as well as development cooperation with emerging countries. She could already acquire practical experience during several projects, e.g. in a project assistant position in a campaign of ASW (Action for World Solidarity) for human and women's rights and as intern of GIZ GmbH (German Agency for International Cooperation) in Brasília, Brazil amongst others. She speaks German as her mother tongue and fluent Portuguese and English, as well as advanced Spanish and elementary French.

Following his MBA, Jose Ignacio joined the Global Capital Markets division of Merrill Lynch, sharing his time between London and NYC. His previous professional activities include L.E.K Consulting in London and Los Angeles and Roland Berger Strategy Consultants in Madrid. As a management consultant Jose Ignacio covered a wide range of strategic assignments across all industries, including the energy distribution and wind energy sectors. Jose Ignacio joined the Madrid office of eclareon in 2009.

Rodrigo Morell
Partner (eclareon Madrid)

Bachelor of Economics and Business Administration (ICADE, Madrid, 2000)

After finishing his studies in Madrid, Rodrigo Morell joined the Management Consultancy firm L.E.K. Consulting, where he worked for three years. Based on the London office of L.E.K., he developed strategy projects on a wide range of sectors including wind energy. In 2003 he joined the Marketing Department of Diario ABC (main newspaper of Grupo Vocento (VOC), the leading written press group in Spain) as Trade Marketing Manager. After two years, he was promoted to Operational Marketing Manager. He joined the Madrid office of eclareon as a partner in November 2006.

Víctor Cervantes
Manager (eclareon Madrid)

Industrial Engineering (Free University of Brussels, 2006)

After finishing his studies in Brussels, Víctor collaborated with Jacques Giordano Industries, one of the most important French companies on the renewable energy field in France, to help establish its Spanish subsidiary. During 2008 he worked for BravoSolution, a major international procurement consultancy, and for Creara Consultores, a Spanish company leader in the field of energy efficiency.  In October 2008 he joined the Eclareon team where he has developed more than 20 strategic projects in the fields of the renewable energy and energy efficiency, has been involved in prestigious international forums and has contributed to the publication of numerous articles. Víctor speaks Spanish, English, French and Italian.

Paolo Michele Sonvilla

Consultant

Paolo Michele Sonvilla holds a MSc in Electronic Engineering (University of Trieste, Italy) and a Master of Business Administration (INSEAD, France). Paolo started his professional career in the telecommunications sector, working in several European countries on the development and commercial launch of mobile telecommunications devices. After competing his MBA studies in 2006, Paolo gained interest in the renewable energy sector and since then he is active in this field as a freelance consultant, collaborating with several organisations. 

Paolo started his collaboration with eclareon in 2007, initially focussing on strategy consulting projects in the Italian PV sector, taking part to due diligence, commercial strategy and business planning activities. Thanks to the international reach of eclareon he later broadened his interests and skills towards the policy consulting and EU projects areas. In these fields he has authored several research studies, written and negotiated several EU project proposals. Paolo particularly contributed to the management of the PV LEGAL and PV GRID IEE projects.

Paolo is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish and he also has a good familiarity with French.
