Christoph Urbschat

Managing Partner & Head of Market Intelligence Department (eclareon Berlin)

Master of Economics (Hanover University, 1998)

Shortly after finishing his studies in Hanover and Düsseldorf, Christoph Urbschat worked as an independent consultant and developed and co-ordinated a professional marketing network for solar energy in Hanover. From 1999 to 2000, as marketing manager at an environmental consultancy, he was in charge of the development of dissemination campaigns on behalf of the EU Commission and the implementation of marketing training workshops for solar installers and trade associations. In 2001 he started eclareon - and moved to Berlin. Next to managing the eclareon practices at Berlin office, Christoph is chairing the Working Group Export Photovoltaic of the German Solar Industry Association (BSW Solar) since 2008 and he is mandated as Consultant by order of Renewable Energy Export Initiative and Energy Efficiency Export Initiative since 2007, both hosted by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.

Robert Brückmann

Head of Policy Consulting Department

Robert Brückmann holds a University diploma (University of Freiburg, Germany) and a bar examination (Hamburg University, Germany) in legal sciences & master of law – with honours – in European laws from the University of Helsinki, Finland. During his legal traineeship at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court of Hamburg 2005-2008, he specialized and intensively worked on energy law and renewable energy law. Among others he gained experience at the Conergy AG, at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany, which is the authority for the application of offshore wind farms, and at the law firm Sozietät Becker, Büttner, Held in Berlin where exclusively worked with renewable energy law.

Robert Brückmann has been working with eclareon in the area of policy consulting since February 2008 at the beginning as project manager, since February 2011 as head of policy department. In the last six years, he specialised in the analysis of legal framework for the use of RES at national and European level by planning and implementing the projects RES LEGAL, PV LEGAL, RES Integration and AEON Tren Barriers. Moreover, he established and coordinated the eclareon’s research team.

Dirk Kalusa

Head of Business Promotion Department

Dirk Kalusa is a qualified social scientists. He finished his studies with a focus on International Relations at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2006. Following the studies, he worked at the German-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. There he was responsible for market analysis and organized various business of German companies. Since November 2008 he works for eclareon, first as deputy project manager for the on-trade business energy efficiency. Since November 2010 he took over the management of the Business Promotion Unit. He speaks German as mother language, fluent English and has a good knowledge of the Slovenian language.

Jan-Benjamin Spitzley

Deputy Heaf of Policy Consulting Department

Jan-Benjamin Spitzley holds a University diploma in legal science and a master of international law (MIL) degree – honours degree. He studied at the University of Freiburg, at the University of Geneva and the Graduate Institute of International Studies Geneva, as well as at the University of Münster. The Master of Law degree was awarded by the University of Sydney, Australia. Prior to his engagement with eclareon, he worked inter alia at the Foreign Affairs Committee of the German Parliament and at the Permanent Mission of Germany to the United Nations in New York.

Since November 2008, he is working for the eclareon GmbH, currently as Deputy Head of the Policy Consulting Department. In the last years, he specialised in the analysis of legal framework as well as the inherent administrative barriers for the use of RES at national and European level as by planning and implementing the projects RES LEGAL Europe, PV LEGAL/PV Grid, Solar Guidelines India, Keep on Track, RE-frame, RES Integration and AEON Tren Barriers.

Anna Poblocka

Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Anna Poblocka studied Scandinavian Studies, Political Science and Eastern European Studies at both Humboldt and Free University in Berlin. The focus of the studies was the Baltic Sea Region. Her Master thesis addressed the topic of deployment of electricity production from Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Policy in the Baltic Sea Region. Since December 2008, she is working for the eclareon GmbH. She is extensively involved in the execution of the projects RES LEGAL, AEON, dena Subsidy overviews on PV, PV Legal and RES Integration. Anna Poblocka speaks Polish as mother language, is business fluent in German and English and has a good knowledge of the Scandinavian languages.

Christian Grundner

Project Manager Market Intelligence Department

Christian holds a combined degree in business administration and industrial engineering and graduated in 2009 with focus on production management and logistics from University of Rostock. In addition, he holds a post-graduate Diploma in Global Business Management awarded by the University of California, Berkeley. During his studies, he was project manager and member of the board of the student consultancy at the business school of University of Rostock. He also gained first experience in the wind energy sector as a student associate to the board of a major wind turbine manufacturer. Furthermore, he worked as executive assistant to the board of a fast growing online company and gained experience in investor relations and business intelligence. Since September 2010, Christian is working for the eclareon GmbH as Project Manager. He is mainly responsible for the market intelligence and strategy consulting services offered by eclareon. During his time at eclareon, Christian completed a degree in Renewable Energy Finance from Frankfurt School of Finance. Christian speaks German as mother language, and is business fluent in English.

Jelka Schedlinsky

Project Manager Business Promotion Department

With a professional background in the media industry, Jelka Schedlinsky graduated from the European University Viadrina with a Bachelor in International Business Administration. Specializing in international marketing during her studies in Germany and Denmark, she simultaneously gained experience in government & public affairs in the field of energy & climate policy within the chemical industry. She gathered additional professional experience in a position with an international manufacturer of PV modules. Working as a research assistant with that company after graduation, Jelka was involved in the monitoring of PV legislation processes and projects in Europe and the MENA region. A Project Manager with eclareon’s Business Promotion department, her responsibilities include projects within the Energy Efficiency Export Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi). She is a fluent speaker of English, French and German.

Wayan Paul Rydzek

Project Manager Business Promotion Department

Wayan Paul Rydzek studied Master of European Studies at Europa-University Viadrina, Frankfurt/Oder, specializing in European energy policy, European economic policy and foreign and defense policy. He also holds a Bachelor from the Amsterdam Business School and the University of Plymouth. During his undergraduate studies, sustainability and green marketing for him already became increasingly interesting and since 2010, he has been working with questions of sustainability and resource use. Paul worked on sustainability strategies within the international food and beverage industry, developed recommendations for companies in the sector, and administered tasks as lobbyist and multiplier. Furthermore, he advocated the use of sustainable materials in public space and was assigned tasks in the field of acquisition, planning and support. He joined eclareon’s business promotion department in early 2012, where he since has been advising German companies in the field of renewable energies and energy efficiency on potential export activities. Paul speaks German, is fluent in English and Dutch and has basic knowledge of the Spanish language.

Doreen Neumann

CFO & Marketing Manager

Doreen is diploma management expert and event management economist in international industrial enterprises with the main emphasis of the acquirement and putting into action of marketing concepts and the CI introductions. Doreen worked for AOC International (Europe) GmbH more than eight years with the responsibility for 23 countries to develop marketing concepts and strategies budget, media and concept planning and putting into action of a new international companies CI and the development and putting into action of fair and event planning, incl. delegation journeys to China, for her tasks. She speaks German and negotiation-proof English as a mother tongue.

Filip Jirouš 

Consultant Policy Consulting Department

Filip Jirouš studied Eastern European Sciences at Freie Universität Berlin. During his studies, he worked as a freelancer for the German Parliament’s visitors’ service and the Prague based business consulting company Czech Trade Office. Since November 2010, Mr. Jirouš is working at eclareon as a research assistant in the policy consulting department. Inter alia, he is analysing the legal framework conditions as well as questions concerning grid connection, operation and development for RES. He was actively involved in the RES integration and RES Legal projects. Mr. Jirouš is a native speaker of both German and Czech; he is fluent in English, Polish, French and Bulgarian and has basic knowledge of Ukrainian, Russian and Spanish.

Céline Najdawi

Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Céline Najdawi graduated with her Bachelor´s degree in 2007 in German and English Literature and Civilization from the Catholic University of Paris, followed by a Master´s degree in French and German Trade and Management at the University of Cergy-Pontoise. Since October 2012 she also holds a Master’s degree in Public and Private Environmental Management from the Free University of Berlin. Her Master’s thesis focusses on the chances and restrictions of solar power in Jordan. Céline Najdawi has been working at eclareon since September 2010, where she is mainly responsible for the analysis of legal framework conditions as well as questions of grid connection and integration for RES-E in the French-speaking countries. She is actively involved in the projects RES Integration, RES Legal, Keep-on-Track! as well as in the PV Subsidy Overview Europe on behalf of the German Energy Agency. Aside from her mother-tongue French, Céline Najdawi speaks fluently English and German and has strong skills in Arabic.

Jurga Tallat-Kelpšaitė

Project Manager Policy Consulting Department

Jurga Tallat-Kelpšaitė is a lawyer in International Law. In addition, she holds Master of European Studies (University of Hamburg) and Master of Public and Private Environmental Management (Free University of Berlin). 2002-2009 Jurga Tallat-Kelpšaitė worked as a lawyer at the Kaunas city municipality, Lithuania. She legally represented and consulted the Municipality, among other in legal issues related to energy, transport and environmental protection. Further practical experience she gained at adelphi GmbH, where she supported the team in diverse projects in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency, climate change mitigation and adaptation, regional development and environmental law. Since 2011 Jurga Tallat-Kelpšaitė works for eclareon GmbH. Her focus lies on the political and legal framework conditions for renewable energy, grid connection and integration and climate change policy. She is actively involved in the projects RES integration, RES legal, Keep on Track and the National Assessment of climate change policies in the context of the European Semester. Jurga Tallat-Kelpšaitė is native speaker of Lithuanian, is fluent in German, English and Russian and has basic knowledge of French and Spanish.

Lena Merle Keller

Consultant Business Promotion

After graduating from high school, Lena Keller studied at Georg-August University of Göttingen and at Universidade do Porto in Portugal. Furthermore, Lena Keller has a master's degree in Interdisciplinary Latin American Studies with emphasis on politics and economics at Freie Universität Berlin (Free University of Berlin). Keller's focus were development theories and policy, as well as development cooperation with emerging countries. She could already acquire practical experience during several projects, e.g. in a project assistant position in a campaign of ASW (Action for World Solidarity) for human and women's rights and as intern of GIZ GmbH (German Agency for International Cooperation) in Brasília, Brazil amongst others. She speaks German as her mother tongue and fluent Portuguese and English, as well as advanced Spanish and elementary French.

Ricarda Constanze Pulverich

Consultant Business Promotion

Ricarda is about to finish her master’s degree in Economics at the Humboldt University in Berlin, while having studied abroad at Universitá degli Studi di Roma „La Sapienza“ in Rome and at Northwestern University in Chicago. Her academic work is focused on growth theory, business cycle research and international trade. During her studies, she worked as an economics research assistant for the German Savings Banks Association within the department of Economics and International Financial Markets. As a trainee in Consulting Services at the German American Chamber of Commerce in Chicago, she supported trade promoting projects sponsored by the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Export Initiatives of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) through market research and assistance with the organization of business delegations. She was able to collect international experience also during her one-year stay in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where she worked as a teaching assistant for the NPO SIL Ethiopia. Apart from German as her first language, Ricarda is fluent in English and Italian and has a good knowledge of French and a basic knowledge of Amharic.
